This was built in 1968 – the only year Colt made handguards with drain holes that weren’t marked L + R. Selling a COLT SP1 / M16A1 parts kit in 5.56mm! This is in EXCELLENT condition. The bore is BRIGHT AND SHINY. This has a SP1 style 0.312″ front pivot pin and milspec fire control pins. This is 100% Colt parts! This has a M16A1 government profile barrel.

The M16 rifle (authoritatively assigned Rifle, Type 5.56 mm, M16) is a group of military rifles adjusted from the ArmaLite AR-15 rifle for the US military. The first M16 rifle was a 5.56×45mm programmed rifle with a 20-round magazine.
